I am having a tough time right now and we have been asked to make a difficult decision regarding Cyr. I need a few days to absorb our situation before I blog about it.
Some times you seem to blame yourself more than I would agree to blame you. So I just want to say preemptively, remember that the best any of us can do is try. And you sure try!
I'm sending you positive thoughts, good vibes, and prayers. You are such an amazing woman. There might not be an easy answer to what you're dealing with, but I trust you will make the best decision for your family - including Cyr. -Maia
I hope whatever decision you make, you are able to feel at peace with it. It is so clear from your blog that your kids are the centre of your world. Prayers for you and your family.
I have the utmost confidence that you will make the right decision, difficult though it may be. I've rarely encountered anyone who seems less deterred by "difficult." I believe in you, as everyone here clearly does.
I'm also dropping off this link I found, to a quick method of meditation (I promised you some links in a comment, oh ... 3 months ago?). I've been searching for a method that was quick, since I know you don't have an hour to dedicate to quieting your mind! I hope this method helps not only with your chronic pain struggle, but also with whatever struggles are on your mind.
This is about my life loving a bunch of crazy people. We are searching for ways to cope and heal from an alphabet soup of diagnosis. I am proud to be the mother of the bravest people I know.
I am the mother of 10 children, 6 are part of a large sibling group we adopted through foster care in 2006, 2 are our grown foster daughters, 2 are from independent infant adoptions in 2001 and 2008. Every one of them have their own issues to work through from Schizo-Affective Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Complex PTSD, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, ADHD, and Cerebral Palsy. Most of our children have been victims of sexual abuse by a close family member, most acted out sexually or exhibited predatory behaviors. We are currently trying to figure out where the trauma ends and mental illness begins in each of their lives.
