Who are you?

Y'all really are reading the whole thing! I have been checking the sitemeter to see who is from where since no one new is really commenting and so many folks have hit me 40-80 times in the last day or so I can tell you are getting into it.

I had a record high of 1558 hits in one day on Saturday. Anyone want to de lurk? How about the new folks in NE or GA? I know BB reads from NE but who is the other person? There are several people from GA, Atlanta and Alpharetta, talk to me people. I had mass reading from NH and who is from Taiwan, you sure are a faithful reader. Tell me what you think, let me have it if I make you mad, just let me know you are here.

Thank you all so much for stopping by even if you choose not to come out and play.

hey i'll delurk but I don't know that I'm showing up on your sitemeter since I read your posts through bloglines and hardly ever click all the way into your blog. Anyways, I read all your posts and have to say I greatly admire you. I don't necessarily share the same opinions, and i don't think I could do the things you do or deal with the situations you deal with, but it is truly awe-inspiring to read your posts. LOL...encouraging, too, since I generally shake my head and go "whew, I just THOUGHT my foster kids were ___fill in the blank___" LOL. Hope you don't take any of that the wrong way. I totally admire what you guys are doing. Anyways, I'm going back to lurkdom now. *Grin*

I have read it all from the 1st one in the last 3 days. Wow! Very eye opening. My husband and I are within a week or 2 (well, hopefully) of being approved to adopt an older child from foster care. You are an amazing woman and I will continue to read and learn from you as we continue on our adoption journey. Thank you for taking the time to share with us.

I have been reading your blog from the beginning over the last couple of weeks. I clicked on the sidebar on Yondellas blog when you had a intriguing topic. Come to find out almost every post is intriguing. I am in awe of your patience with your kids. I haven't quite caught up yet (As I work outside the home and can't read during the day!) When I do catch up I will be leaving comments. We fostered my daughter as an infant and we adopted her last August at 19 months of age. We live in Jacksonville Florida - not too far from your neck of the woods!

Hi! I have been reading your blog for months. We are adopting a 5 and 6 year old sibling group. They have a lot of issues. My daughter has many meltdowns, and she is very "destructive." She injures herself during her tantrums, and she attacks me regularly. She even said she wanted to kill me (I made sure all dangerous items were out of reach after that meltdown). I know what it feels like to be pinned as the "bad guy." We have had sexual acting out, rages, stealing, lying, bedwetting, poop smeared in the bathroom, broken walls and toilets...etc. I can so easily relate to you. Reading your blog gives me hope, sanity, and encouragement. You are an inspiration, and I am addicted to your blog. I check it at least once a day, and I am very bummed out when you don't post...NO Pressure! LOL. You have given me some great ideas, and quite a few coping strategies. My 6 year old has been diagnosed ODD, ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, possible Bi-Polar (they say she is too young to "diagnose") and we are also suspicious of RAD. My five year old is ADHD and ODD. They keep me more than busy, I couldn't imagine having five more (although I would love to). No matter what trouble they get themselves into, I still love them to pieces. I wouldn't have it any other way. I think you are an incredible mother, and I can say that you have never done anything that offends me in any way. Keep up the good work!!!

I've never actually read your whole blog from the beginning. Not that I don't want to, but if I did that with everyone on my blog roll, I'd be at it a very long time. :)

I love your story and I'm addicted to your blog. I started reading from the link on Lorie's blog. I am a foster parent and I live on Long Island, NY. I have a six year old girl and her 4 month old brother. I don't know how you do what you do because these two wear me out!

Hi Tudu,

I am an adoptive parent of a nearly 13 yr old (ZOINKS!) exhuberant girl. She came home neary two years ago and here we are, looking to do it again. Maybe fostering some teen girls, maybe adopt...we'll see where the wind blows. I love your blog. You say the things that I am thinking all the time (only funnier). These blogs are so great. They bring a whole community of us moms together dealing with our crazy adorable kids who have razorsharp teeth one second and are dripping honey the next.

I am from MN by the way :) Torina

Hi :)

I'm not a blogspot person, it's Livejournal for me, but I found you in the comments of one of the other huge family adoption journals I read; Sharon I think at Megafamilyliving. I have enjoyed reading about your family :)

I am a single adopter in scotland.

Sometimes I get lonely and read adoption message boards and blogs.

My daughter is 10 - is very fragmented and traumatised - but absolutely wonderful!

I'm Rebecca. I'm not sure where I found your blog, but I've been reading some of the others (Margaret's Peanut Pants/Open Window, Baggage's Baggage and Bug, Yondalla's Thoughts from a Foster Family, etc.) for at least several months; some for over a year. I really like your blog and find it very inspiring. I used to work with young adult homeless mothers, and some of your recent postings about Frankee remind me a lot of that world . . .

I am fascinated with adoption blogs and especially find the foster to adopt very interesting. Add to the fact that you have a large family, as I do and you have me hooked. Keep writing!

Late to the party like always, but just figured I'd say hello. =)

Pretty sure I've introduced myself before but to sum it up again.... Abby from MA, no kids yet but looking forward to fostering/adopting in the future sometime. Elem. teacher but looking to move up to teach middle school science sometime in the next few years (love that age group!). ADHD and opinionated, but I mean well! =)

And I think you and Michael are amazing parents and I hope to be even half as good as you guys are in the future. I love following along with your blog. =)
