I am a Super Hero

Ruthie was powerful in her session. She was scared and shaking but told the therapist everything. He videotaped it and we are slowly building a case. She makes a good witness much to my surprise she refused to back down. I am so proud of her. She also told the therapist I have special powers, I can keep her safe and make sure no one kidnaps her.

I am going down for a much needed nap with my sweet little Brooklyn (my niece).

YOu do have special powers! Special magical healing powers!!!

To answer your questions, our daughter suffered a fractured skull and brain damage to the occipital lobe just before her 1 year birthday. It left her in a coma and with seizures. They were able to reduce the swelling and control the seizures and she has been making steady progress since getting out of the hospital. She is now back to functioning at about a 10 month old level, even though she is 16+ months old. No one knows what the longe range prognosis is, and she will be on anti-seizure meds for several years or longer. Today she is moving to her 5th foster home in her short life. Neglect, abuse, no stability. We will have our hands full when we get to bring her home.
