Some funny things

Cyr took about an hour and 20 minutes to skip 3 steps in therapy during a game of Simon Says.

Emma's class was talking about a book they had just read with a child in it that behaved very badly. One child said, "He had issues." That prompted Emma to announce, "I know all about issues, my brother has them every day."

Emma's teacher told me that Emma reminds her of a fairy. She kinda dances when she goes around the room and she is so good with her "more difficult" children that she has her at a table with them. She loves to help and run errands, too. It has become obvious she is a teacher's pet.

Ruthie was looking forward to sitting in the Principal's office during recess and the girl is now her best friend.

Wow! That's all I really have to say. I have read from beginning to end and I really have to say, again, that you are amazing.

Your story has really inspired me to open our minds to fostering. I think even if we could help one child it would make all the difference.

I look forward to reading more.

I was wondering if you were concerned at all with Emma being around more difficult children at home and school? I hope this question isn't offensive.

Michelle, I was very concerned before the kids got here. I didn't know what kind of impact they would have on her. Would she feel left out, outnumbered, or pick up on their bad habits? Turns out she was meant to help others and has learned patience I have never seen in other children. At school, she is comfortable being a leader and loves to help kids having a hard time. She tends to do this naturally and when placed near a child with issues, she will help.
