This is about my life loving a bunch of crazy people. We are searching for ways to cope and heal from an alphabet soup of diagnosis. I am proud to be the mother of the bravest people I know.

We have a Grand Jury date, March 4th, next Wednesday. I am excited and scared. I posted a bit over on my other blog about it. I would love to hear from anyone that has been to a Grand Jury Trial so I know what to expect.
I've been on a Grand Jury. It's not really a trial since, usually, the defendant does not appear. The prosecution calls witnesses with the goal of getting the Grand Jury to agree that a crime has been committed and that there is enough evidence to suggest that the person or persons in question might have done it and should be indicted and tried. In my state the defense can volunteer to have the defendant testify but this rarely happens. Most of the fireworks go on at the actual trial if it goes that far.
